Website Redesign to Launch Monday, Aug. 13!

As posted in the Campus Chronicle on July 31, we are excited to announce that the redesigned website will launch Monday morning!

While there are many benefits our visitors to the new site will experience, especially its mobile-responsive design, we realize that this change may take some time for you to get used to since we’ve had the current look and feel since June 2013.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Audiences
The redesigned site is designed with the community, alumni, prospective students and parents as the primary audiences. However, we realize the site is a resource for faculty, staff, students and many others.

Navigation
The navigation has changed significantly to better serve the audiences listed above. Keep in mind it is not designed to be a reflection of our internal organizational structure.

Faculty, staff and students are strongly encouraged to use the “I am a…” section to get to the appropriate pages for accessing systems and resources specific to them. And, the “Directories” link should be used when you are looking for a specific office, department or employee.

A Work in Progress
While many pages have been created in the new Content Management System (CMS) with new design elements, we still have a lot of work to complete during the fall semester to move all pages into the CMS. We will also always be making improvements and enhancements to the pages already in the CMS.

Feedback
The input you provided during our Town Hall meetings, surveys, focus groups and informal communications was very important as we designed the site. We will post another article on Monday morning with a link to a form for you to use to provide feedback and/or report any issues.

What will it look like?
Here’s a sneak peak of the opening of the homepage.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to hearing your feedback and working with you.
